No Gain = No Pain

I just got rejected from my “dream job,” and it stings. It’s not important what the job was, or the exact details, but I had my heart set on working there. The past couple of days I was on pins and needles and when I received the email 2 hours ago, I was crestfallen. I felt that I really had a chance and that it would’ve been a great fit. But rather than just be down about it, I decided to write my inaugural blog post on rejection.
Everyone is aware that rejection hurts. Be it a job, girl, or something else, absolutely everyone has been there and it stings.
After the initial shock, I tried to think about what I could learn from being rejected. I think an important lesson that one can learn from rejection is a positive one. Namely, that you successfully put yourself in the right position- you just happened to get rejected. Look how far you came! Sure you can be upset that the girl you really wanted to go out with wasn’t interested, but kudos for having the guts to ask her! You got rejected from the job you wanted? That’s unfortunate, but look- they considered you!
Hence instead of being down about it, all me being rejected means is that I put myself in the right place- I’ll continue to do so, and hopefully it’ll work out elsewhere and for the best.
